MORE BOOK WORK (UGH) also test day

Narmer:  a king that could have united Egypt
theocracy: a government in which rule is based off religious authority
pyramid: the resting place after death, an immense structure
mummification: how royal and elite Egyptians bodies were preserved
hieroglyphic: a more flexible writing system, meaning sacred carvings
papyrus: a writing surface

3. They acted as natural barriers between Egypt and other lands.

4. Egyptians viewed the pharaoh as a god, who they trusted to have full responsibility for the kingdom.
